Robotz Gift Bag & Card

Here is a card and an altered gift bag that I made for my DD's friend. They were both born on July 26th and his mom and I bonded in the hospital .  I had quite a fun time making something for a boy as I don't normally get the chance. I used my new clockworks cuttlebug folder for the base of the card. It matches so well with the Robotz cuts. Thanks for looking : )

Birthday Party Invitations

My DD is turning one on the 26th!! I can't believe how fast the year has gone by. We are having a party for her and her little friends next weekend. I have been procrastinating the finishing of her invitations since I made the sample one over a month ago. I think it's because I am a little sad about her upcoming birthday which may seem a little strange, but she is my first. Can anyone else relate? I think I just want her to stay a baby for ever  : ) I finally finished the invitations along with matching envelopes this morning and it didn't take very long as I had the design already done. The ice cream cone is from Stretch Your Imagination and the It's a Party form Zooballoo. I also used the Happy Birthday and D'vine Swirls Cuttlebug folders. I will be posting some of the decorations that I am making as well, they are going to be so cute! Thanks for looking.

Coat Hook Nametags

I used Plantain School Book's end cap feature to make these name tags for my students coat hooks. So much easier than gluing on each individual letter!!

Welcome Cards

I will be going back to work in September (eep!) after a year of maternity leave. I teach first grade and I like to send a little welcome letter for the parents before classes start. This year I decided to also send a little welcome card for the students. Our classroom theme will be 'Forest Friends' so I chose the cute little owl from Create a Critter.  I only have 16 students this year so it didn't take too long. They are all the same except for the buttons. I will have a bunch more projects that I am making for my classroom coming up soon :)

Mailbox Sign

We have just recently moved to a new house and I must say that I was completely surprised at the number of flyers we could be delivered in such a small town! My hubby works in environmental protection and we are trying to set an example for our DD.  I created this sign for our mailbox this morning. I used Give a Hoot for the trees and the Zooballo font. I think it turned out so cute! Thanks for looking :)

Sunny Days

This was a fun layout for me. I used stamps on cardstock squares to create a checkerboard background mat for my photos. I really like the effect, especially the pink flower stamp on pink paper. I used Walk in my Garden for the flowers and layered them each 6 times. The title is from Create a Critter.

MPS Colour Challenge

I designed this page for the My Pink Stamper colour challenge. The colours we were to use were: orange, pink, green and brown. Now pink, green and brown is one of my favourite colour combos, but orange, I rarely use. I just love this pic of my DD and hubby and had been wanting to use it for a while but just wasn't sure how. Not sure how I feel about the layout, I feel like it's missing something but just not sure what. I do really love the cute sleeping fox from the Give a Hoot cart though, just adorable!

Just Chillin'

I tried a new technique for me on this page which I think turned out really well. I used embroidery thread to stitch on the buttons. I think it added a little something extra to the layout and I will definitely try it again . Thanks for looking!

Here is layout that I did yesterday. This is only my 4th one so far but I am just loving it! I used Create a Critter for the large circle and the journaling circles. This is absolutely my favourite cart, it is just so versatile!

Welcome Home

Here is my second ever layout. I used a sketch from a Scrapbooking magazine that I got for free from my local scrap store! I also used some of the new patterned paper and Bazzill cardstock I picked up this weekend, gotta love my new local store! :) I used Plantain Schoolbook, Give a Hoot and Home Accents carts for the die cuts and Robots for the font.

Let's Hang Out

I have some very exciting news today! I live in a small town (about 12000 people) in Northern Canada and have struggled a bit trying to find crafting supplies. There wasn't really anywhere in town except Wal-mart which has pretty limited crafting supplies. Well this week I found out that we have a new Scrapbooking store!! I was so excited! I found out on Thursday and have already been there 3 times, lol. I have had to get most supplies online till now so it's nice to actually be able to see things before buying. The owner is so nice too and says she can order in anything that I would like. Just fantastic! I have included a scrapbook layout that I made this weekend. This is actually my very first layout and I think it turned out well. Thanks for looking!

Have a Moo-velous Day!

I think this card turned out so cute, but it was super fast and simple to make. I am going to give it to my step-dad for Father's Day. The grass is a scrap cut from Zooballo that was too large for another project but was perfect here. I ran the light blue sky paper through the Cuttlebug with the D'vine Swirls folder. Stamp is from My Pink Stamper set.

I love you card

This is a card I made for my hubby for Father's Day. It is his first Father's Day as a dad, and he is so wonderful with our daughter. Love him so much :)

Gift Bag

I made this gift bag along with a matching card for a friend of my DD on her birthday. A lot of the other moms at the party couldn't believe I made it! I think I may have sold a few cricuts :P

Newbie Blogger

Hmmm, clearly I am a newbie blogger...I am not sure why some of my pictures are posting sideways, they are not that way in the file, lol. Anyone know how I can fix this?

Mom's Birthday

First is a card that I made for my daugther to give to her grandma on her birthday. Ther  is alsoa gift bag I made from Plantain Schoolbook to hold the mini album I made for my mom along with the matching card. The flower cuts are from A Walk in my Garden.

Birthday Cards

Here are some birthday cards that I created this past week. The first and third ones are for friends of my daugther's whose birthdays are later this month. The second one is for my dad whose birthday is next week. He always has quails in hais back yard so I was pleased to find this image on the home accent cart :) June is such a busy month for me, lol.

Thank you Cards

These are some matching Thank You cards that I made for my Grandma and my aunt for Birthdya gifts that I received. I used my new cuttlebug that my DH gave me for my birthday!

More Father's Day Cards

Here are a few more Father's Day cards I have made this week. The first is one I made for my little brother. He just had a daughter in September so this is his first Father's Day. The inside says "As a Dad you're dino-mite"
Here is one for my DH from my DD. The inside says "to have a dad like you".  I lifted the general idea from a card I saw on the Pink Stamper Father's Day challenge. I just love Create a Critter, so cute!!

Mini Album

I made this mini album as a gift for my mom's birthday that is this week. I worked on it over the weekend and it took a while but was a lot of fun. It was my first attempt at creating one of these and I definitely learned a lot that I will remember for next time. I have to thank Tammy at Creative Critters Cricut Club for her wonderful instructions on making a mini-album. (http://www.cricutcritters.com/2010/04/plantin-schoolbook-christmas-cheer-file.html
I think my mom will really love it! I used a paper stack by K&and Company and cuts from Plantain School Book (the tags), Walk in my Garden (flowers), and Beyond Birthdays ('mom' and 'love'). I also used a few stickers from an ATD Born to Be Wild pack.  I found it helped to have a theme which really pulled together the paper and all the die cuts. My mom loves her garden so the flowers worked out nicely. Hope you enjoy! I have been busy making a lot of cards and will post them later this week.

Father's Day Challege

Alright, this is only my 3rd attempt at card-making. I am entering it in the My Pink Stamper Father's Day Challenge. It definitely was a challenge for me too! Even though I am just starting out I would describe my style as cute and girly, two words that definitely don't describe my dad ; ) I am not entirely displeased with it, I think I will actually send it to him. I must say that this hobby is very addicting! I had tons of fun trying to figure this one out!
